The sun cast a silvery glow over the water where it met the horizon, the waves barely moving the glass-like surface as the day began to fade into evening. Wrapping his arms about himself, Harry shivered in the breeze and ran his hands over his bare skin. He entered the flat, making certain to walk quietly so as not to wake Severus.

He studied Severus's face, committing to memory the appearance of Severus in a completely relaxed state while he slept. Reaching out, Harry stroked one finger along Severus's cheek, and smiled as Severus moved toward him in his slumber.

Ok... am attempting to produce some worthy writing by trying these drabbles again. We'll see how it goes.

Toasting in Style

Sprawled on the sofa, Severus summoned the firewhisky and pulled a long draw right from the bottle as the church bells rang in the New Year.

"Should Old Acquaintance be forgot, and never thought upon…"*

Arching a brow as the masculine voice filtered through the door, Severus flicked his wand, welcoming the caroller. "How did I get the pleasure of Harry Potter as my First Foot?"

Harry stepped over threshold and grinned, passing Severus another firewhisky bottle. "Just lucky, I guess."

Severus leered at Harry and stood. "Indeed."

Harry hummed against Severus's lips as he was dragged to the bedroom.

Ugh... Took Little Halo to see the Christmas parade in town, and ended up sore as hell yesterday after sitting on the cold concrete for almost an hour and a half. Still kinda stove up even now but I have yesterday's and today's drabbles for both adventdrabbles and slythindor100. Will post them all at once to avoid extra spammage. I hope you enjoy!

Bill sighed and dipped his spoon back into the pot, offering the bite to Neville. "Here, taste Severus's Christmas pudding. It's excellent, just don't breathe in while you swallow; it's been soaking in Firewhisky since last summer."

Neville laughed out loud.

"Shhh… Mum hates that his pudding is better than hers."

Severus rolled his eyes and turned to face Harry. It was then that he noticed Harry only wore a small Father Christmas hat, and he was standing under the mistletoe.

Leering, Severus followed Harry, softly singing, "It's the most wonderful time of year!"

My daily_deviant fic is up, and while it's not the one I had planned on using, (maybe I'll get back to that one day) I do hope you'll enjoy it.

As promised, I am almost caught up with my reading and viewing on the snarry_games. I supposed being under the weather does have its perks. The halfway point has come and you can find the weekly recap here.

I got a comment today from a fic I wrote in 2006 called Small Snapes, asking if there was more to the fic in the way of art. I was happy to respond to her that yes, I was the proud recipient of a render for my insane crack fic and would be glad to share it.

While searching out the link to the render, I found out that when my journal was moved from LJ to IJ, the post had not made it. The post on LJ no longer had the image either. Panic set in then as I remebered that it was on my old computer had crashedThank Goddess I had it saved to disk.

So in order for me to share with the commenter, I needed to re-post the render in the hopes that this time it will stay put! The fabulous trekkiegrrl made this for me and to this day I still let out a squeal that I inspired someone to actually create something for one of my most harebrained ideas. Thank you, again, Trekkiegrrl! I still love this piece so much.

Stark, twisted, and completely captivating is the entry from ships_harry. It's a crossover piece with the comic Grendel. Even though I have never seen this comic before, ships_harry's art and the chosen typeset used to highlight the story, made me want to go find it. I don't know how else to describe it, except you just have to see it to understand it. So, go, look and comment!
