Author's Note: Originally for the Omniocular June 2007 'Mentors' Challenge, Prompt #24: Black sisters being taught how to be proper ladies. Title comes from Puccini's Tosca, and translates to 'Concealed harmony'. The duet referenced is Franz Schubert's 'Fantasia in F minor, D940, Op. 103'. Many thanks to rosamund for helping me through the tough bits and beta-reading.

This is fairly short but wonderfully written. The author delved into the lives of the Black Sisters with such a subtle flair and understated elegance that the entire piece feels like a page ripped out of canon. Only better because this author has their shit together. *g* I won't spoil it for you, but I loved how the sisters were tied together through more than just their names, society, and family. Each sister is briefly visited and made "real" to the reader before moving on to the next. The conclusion is breathtakingly gorgeous and rounds out the piece perfectly without being overdone or sappy. It's just how things are done by the Black Sisters.

Go! I urge you to check this wonderful character study fic out and leave the author some love.

I am still reading and commenting on some fics, however, I promised to post some Team Snitch fic recs. Again, these are my favorites and YMMV. Please click at your own risk as the links may lead to adult content.

Stark, twisted, and completely captivating is the entry from ships_harry. It's a crossover piece with the comic Grendel. Even though I have never seen this comic before, ships_harry's art and the chosen typeset used to highlight the story, made me want to go find it. I don't know how else to describe it, except you just have to see it to understand it. So, go, look and comment!

For two years, I have written something on this date to speak out against the censorship of Livejournal. I was not a victim of that witchhunt, but I know of several who were. Now, writing porn isn't going to change some moneygrubbing mogul's mind about what they allow to occur in their companies. But, this date has allowed me to write freely without the threat of being hunted down, and I will celebrate it as long as I can.
