Harry stared, disbelieving the sight as he tried to form the words to speak around the lump in his throat. Before him, put back together after it had crashed out from under him and Hagrid so long ago, was Sirius's motorbike.

He ran a hand over the shining chrome, the smooth leather seat then swung his leg over. He wrapped his hands around the grips and took a deep breath as he reached forward and turned the key.

The engine roared to life as Harry stomped down on the starter, and he grinned up at Arthur. "Thank you," he whispered.

His hands slid over Harry's skin, gliding over the planes of his chest and stomach as he arched into the caresses. Harry closed his eyes while the calloused fingers grazed along sensitive skin, scratching and clawing, and drawing a moan from his throat.

Lips kissed a wet trail down his neck, sucking a bruise on his damp skin. Harry writhed under the focused attention; each sound, each breath pulled from his mouth drew Harry closer to the edge.

Harry's clenched fingers, bowed back, and his shout as he came was all the praise Ron needed to satisfy his own needs.

Harry and Neville carefully made their way up to the VIP box seats. Neville passed Harry his Omnioculars and settled back to enjoy the opening festivities of the World Cup. Harry gave a passing glance to the team mascots then turned his attention to Neville.

As the players took the field, Neville watched them zoom across the sky. "Did you see that?! Oliver waved at us!"

Neville turned to Harry, who was still watching Neville. "Why aren't you watching the match?"

Harry shrugged, smiling at Neville. "I have seen Wood play before. I've never seen you at the World Cup."

Harry paced just outside the ward entrance, hands in his pockets and worrying the ring on his finger. He looked up at the clock on the wall for what must have seemed like the hundredth time, only to discover just a meagre five minutes had passed. In all the times he'd been coming to St. Mungo's with Neville, never had he been this nervous.

The doors opened and Harry stopped, smiling as Neville beckoned him forward. His heart pounded as he twined his fingers with Neville's, waiting to be formally introduced to Alice and Frank Longbottom for the first time.

Harry ran his hand over Draco's body, eyeing the pale skin. He shifted in the bed, reaching out to slide his fingers over Severus's back.

He followed the smooth skin until he reached the point where the Dark Mark had faded to a shadow of its former menacing state then began his caresses again. "How is it that no other mark mars your skin?"

"Malfoys don't have flaws."

"Magic," Severus drawled.

Harry rolled his eyes and chuckled. "I've one perfect dragon and one magical snake: my life is complete."

Draco arched a brow and inquired, "Were there any doubts before?"

Draco watched over Harry's shoulder as he carved the last pumpkin. He snorted, shaking his head. "Merlin, Harry! It's Halloween."

Harry set the pumpkin down with the others and tapped them with his wand, illuminating the jack-o-lanterns. He sighed as he looked up at Draco. "I realize that, Draco. They'll look nice on the lawn for the trick-or-treaters."

Draco flicked his wand at the pumpkins then smirked at the transformed faces. "There, that's better!"

Harry scowled. "I wanted to welcome them, not scare them away."

Draco rolled his eyes. "Bloody blighters can beg for handouts somewhere else. That's my candy."

Harry tapped the bricks, three up and two across, on the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron. His heart jumped into his throat as the bricks folded in on themselves and revealed the beloved magical world beyond.

Diagon Alley: the hidden other land that still dazzled him as it had when he was eleven, and he couldn't help the zing of excitement that slithered across his skin while he stood there waiting for the opening to widen enough for him to enter. The noises, sights, and sounds surrounded Harry, and he grinned like a child as he stepped past the barrier.

Harry spread his hands, listening to the speaker hail him a hero, and cringed. One would think he'd done the deed all by himself to hear the man boast about his accomplishments. He knew, however, there had been no god-like power imbued to his wand allowing him to kill Voldemort before being murdered first.

He'd been just a soldier, a tool, manipulated into position by Dumbledore. He closed his eyes, recalling all the others coerced into service. This too was expected of him, so he continued, vowing to do everything in his power to survive his new task: Auror Training.
